Shahi Paneer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat the ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the bay leaf, cinnamon stick, and cardamom pods and sauté for a few seconds.
  2. Add the onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.
  3. Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chili powder, and garam masala and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add the tomato puree and salt and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the paneer cubes and heavy cream and stir gently to combine. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the paneer is heated through.
  6. Serve the shahi paneer hot with basmati rice or roti. Enjoy
